Every client will receive a quote tailored to the individual circumstances of the transaction following a discussion with Lauren Wright. Fee quotes will also state the outlays incurred with the transaction such as reports etc. In the event the work becomes more complex than initially quoted for, your fee may be subject to an increase (this will be discussed with you should this occur before any additional work is undertaken). VAT will be payable in addition to all fees.
Transactions can typically take around 8 weeks or so to complete but this timescale can vary depending on a number of factors.

This work relates to the purchase of areas of land in which it is intended to introduce services and/or access rights etc to the plot of ground with a view to building a property following settlement.

This relates to transferring a property to other individual(s) for consideration (ie a price) or as a gift; adding or removing an individual from the title; matrimonial transfers and Executry transfers.

A Power of Attorney states which trusted individuals you wish to appoint to deal with your financial and welfare matters should you lose capacity (or simply wish for some assistance in respect of the financial element).
Each Power of Attorney is registered with the Office of the Public Guardian, the cost of which is £87.00 per Power of Attorney.
The Power of Attorney ends on the death of the individual.
A Living Will details your wishes and preferences in respect of medical care and treatment in the event that you are hospitalised and unable to communicate your wishes.
This is a similar concept to a Do Not Resuscitate form but you can be as detailed as you wish in your Living Will.
Living Wills operate during the lifetime of the individual and end on their death.
This includes discussion on Inheritance Tax mitigation, Legal Rights mitigation, the creation and suitability of Trusts, as well as advice on options and suitability of the transfer of property to family members to avoid possible care fees from a legal perspective only.

All files charged by the hour are sent to an independent Law Accountant to assess the fee and you will have an opportunity to approve the fee before any payment invoice is sent to you. VAT will be payable in addition to all fees.

Preparing the Confirmation application, submitting this to the appropriate Sheriff Court and providing the Executor with the Grant of Confirmation to deal with the remainder of the Executry.

You may have a Legal Rights claim in the estate of a deceased parent or spouse that is being dealt with by another firm. In that case, it is strongly recommended that you seek independent legal advice to protect your best interests.
This service is only available to existing clients. You will be required to drop off the paperwork you require to be notarised ahead of receiving either a fee quote or confirmation as to whether or not Lauren Wright can sign said document(s) as a Notary Public. VAT will be payable in addition to all fees.
