Professional Legal Services
I have a First Class Honours LLB Law Degree which I gained from the University of Aberdeen in 2010.
I started my training as a solicitor at Wink & Mackenzie in Elgin in 2011, where I later became a partner in 2018. My legal experience and knowledge extends to conveyancing (the legal process in buying/selling/transferring properties and land) and Private Client work which involves making Wills, Living Wills and Powers of Attorney for clients and also dealing with the administration of estates of those who have died (Executries). I am also a Notary Public.
I am very passionate about the law and I love to learn as much as I can about the areas of law that I practice in, as well as having a keen interest in developments in the law and practice, such as the rise of Digital Assets. I have written articles and blogs over the years on various legal topics, including an article published in The Journal: Cases of the Paperless Will.
I am a member of the Law Society of Scotland’s Trust and Succession Law sub-committee. The Society’s network of policy committees support the delivery of the Law Society’s strategy, particularly in influencing the creation of a fairer and more just society. This involves working to analyse and respond to proposed changes in the law, and to pursue improvements to the law and the Scottish and UK legal systems.
In my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym, running, socialising with friends, reading and going to comedy gigs. I am also a qualified Les Mills Body Combat instructor!
I am an active member of the local community, regularly attending local business events.
